Dem WCASB Candidates Endorse Teabagging?

Posted by Skye |

Susan Carty, Deb Liczwek, Lisa Samuel, and Sue Tiernan are the four endorsed Democrat candidates running for a seat the West Chester Area School Board. This past week I discovered a letter written by the Treasurer of Citizens for Excellence in Public Schools. The website listed on the signature of this letter is the campaign website for the endorsed Democrat candidates for WCASB.

Screen capture of the posted letter:

The letter, an LTE not printed by the Daily Local, is posted on a website that makes a crude reference to Teabagging.

The website, www.ccdemocrats.com, is registered to Karen McCool, an individual working closely with the Dem candidates. Below is a screen shot of a teabagging reference on this website:

Teabagging is a sexually explicit phrase that denigrates both gays and women. An offensive term, no doubt, and this did not stop the treasurer of the Dem School Board candidates from posting his letter on this website. What message are the endorsed Dem candidates projecting to the students and parents in the West Chester Area School District? Are they allowing teabagging to be an acceptable cheap shot at an oponent? What about open and honest debate among the candidates or is that so very 2008? It is troubling that these four candidates have participated in such underhanded practices and have actively participated in a whisper campaign against Sean Carpenter. These actions clearly reveal they place more value on winning than providing ideas and leadership to the West Chester Area school district.
