The Future Madame Vice President Speaks to Troops:

FORT WAINWRIGHT, Alaska (AP) - It was Governor Sarah Palin, not the vice presidential candidate, who spoke at a deployment ceremony today (Thursday) at Fort Wainwright.

Palin gave a seven-minute speech at the deployment ceremony for 4,000 soldiers of the Stryker Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division.

1 of the solders being deployed is the governor's 19-year-old son, Track.

The ceremony was held on the seventh anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Palin told the soldiers and their friends and family: "You will be there to win. You will see victory."
