2008 Salem Witch Trials

Posted by Skye |

Democrats usher in a modern day version of the Salem Witch Trials;

Now, in this presidential campaign of 2008, we are again witnessing the Salem witch trials.

Only this time the accusers are not hysterical pre-pubescent teenagers, they are hysterical grown men and women of uncertain age and evenmore uncertain journalistic credentials...

Barbara Walters, ABC; Maureen Dowd, N.Y. Times; Soledad O'Brien, CNN; Campbell Brown, CNN;NorahO'Donnell, MSNBC; AndreaMitchell, NBC; Gail Collins, N.Y. Times; Chris Matthews, MSNBC; and Keith Olberman,MSNBC.These highly paid luminaries of the news media are repeating the hysteria and paranoia of the original Salemwitch trials.

Spectral visions, not unlike what the children of Salemexperienced, are apparently emanating from the internet and have possessed these self-promoting commentators.This time the target is neither Sarah Good nor Sarah Osborne; the accused is Sarah Palin.

Her witchcraft? A deeply held faith in her Christian beliefs, a commitment to raising a wholesome family and an abiding wish to serve her country! The evidence against her goes beyond the spectral visions of the accusers. They mock and then decry that she shoots rifles, hunts moose, wears lipstick and high heels and perhaps most egregiously and unforgiving to the accusers, she does it all well and looks greatwhile doing it!

In an unprecedented, seemingly coordinated witch hunt, these carping, rude,mockingand defaming news personalities, in an affront to all that was good in the Women's Rights Movement as well as all that was noble and full of grace in the commentaries of journalists Murrow, Severeid, Cronkite and Brinkley, are engaged in a relentless mud slinging attempt to deny the citizens of the United States the opportunity to vote for a president and vice president in November. They want nothing less than to try and convict Sarah Palin of believing in something they apparently don't believe in ...God, family and country. It is their wish to have Sarah Palin convicted of witchcraft and withdrawn from the vice presidential race.

The biggest Witch Hunters/Obama voters live in Philly:

Outside on Broad Street, waiting for Palin to leave, one man was heard saying: “Let’s stone her, old school.”

Another protester shouted at someone entering the hotel, “Wait till your daughter wants an abortion, you hypocrite.”

Like their West Chester brethren, I'm sure they hit women who get uppity ideas, similar to Palin's.
