The July 4th Tea Parties have gotten off to an early start - Instapundit is reporting 5,000 patriots attended the Marietta, GA Tea Party and 4,000 patriots at the Cobb County Tea Party. The Houston Tea Party organizers estimate 5-10,000 patriots attended their rally. The Las Vegas Tea Party was a rousing success!

Throughout 2008, the Sheepdogs have consistently held rousing rallies in West Chester with the public increasingly showing their appreciation of our positive message. Our support of America does not end with the conclusion of the rally, as many Sheepdogs worked for and achieved remarkable goals in 2008. We can look back on our triumphs with pride and look forward to our future success.
The genesis of this video occurred a few weeks ago when a student approached Dee, one of our brilliant Sheepdogs, with a question as to why the Sheepdogs were so angry? Dee was quick to point out that we are the happy warriors, and to go look for the anger on the other side, cause it ain’t here. (paraphrased that last bit). After hearing this story from Dee, I've been kicking around ideas on how I could best project the joy and fellowship that occurs at each and every rally.
My hope with this video is to capture the essence of our joy and success in 2008 and to communicate it to the viewers. The Sheepdogs have made huge strides in turning the tide of public opinion in West Chester for 2008. This video is a celebration of all we have accomplished, and all we are yet to accomplish.
As we head into dark times with this new administration, we all can look to this video for encouragement and inspiration.

Tis the season to give to donations of time, money or assets to charity instead of collecting presents. While this noble effort that brings home the real meaning of this season, you should take the time to check out a website called Charity Navigator. It is an indispensable tool to help you in deciding which charity will be the beneficiary of your good will.
The website is an independent charity evaluator. Through this database, you can find out where your charity dollars are going and get a snapshot of the fiscal picture of your particular charity. It is a great tool to make sure your donation is put to the greatest use.
As a general rule, I avoid UN backed charities based on the low efficiency ratings and non transparency of their charities.

To my Longwood Garden visitor: thanks for taking time to visit this blog. I've not had the opportunity to visit Longwood this season, a shocking deficiency that I will soon correct. I'm looking forward to renewing my membership and admiring the artistic delights of the Conservatory at Christmas.
In these worsening economic times, I considered presenting my hapless relative who mistakenly voted for Obama with a beautifully wrapped empty box for Christmas. A celebration of all he really offered the voting public.
However, two items have caught my attention as perfect O-Christmas gifts:
LOOMINGTON, Ill. (AP) _ The Christmas ornaments for sale at the Miller Park Zoo's gift shop are partly manufactured by reindeer. Honest!
Staffers make decorations out of droppings from the zoo's two reindeer, Ealu and Rika. The droppings are dried, then clear-coated and either painted or rolled in glitter.
Zoo marketing director Susie Ohley has named the products "magical reindeer gem ornaments," and each comes with a label of authenticity. They cost $5 at the zoo gift shop.
"Why not buy a loved one a gift this holiday season that they really need," Cockrum says in a press release LifeNews.com obtained. "The gift certificates are also a wonderful idea for that person in your life who puts everyone else first."
"Please join Planned Parenthood of Indiana and give the gift of health this holiday season," she adds.
According to Chrystal Struben-Hall, PPIN's vice president, buyers of gift certificates can give the gift of death, too.
She confirmed to WISH-TV that they can be used for abortions, even though that's not the intended purpose.
"They really are intended for preventative healthcare. We decided not to put restrictions on the gift certificates so it's for whatever people feel they need the services for most," she said.

I am thankful for the opportunity this year to welcome my niece, Ava Grace, into the family. She is a gift and I look forward to watching her grow and blossom into a beautiful and intelligent woman - just like her Auntie.
I am grateful for the opportunity to provide a forever home for McCain (Buster) and Abby. He fits into the family as if he has always been a part of it. I'm thankful for the 14 years Peaches shared with us before crossing the Bridge this past summer.
It has been a honor to work with and befriend the members of the Sheepdog family. I'm constantly inspired by the noble character, pure talent and joyfulness of this band of patriots. These remarkable Americans have been the perfect foil in exposing the crass hypocrisy of the Chester County Prison Movement (CCPM). Letting the Sheepdogs into my life has made me a better person.
THANK YOU GOV. SARAH PALIN! She is the epitome of grace, a leader and a role model for real women worldwide. Thank you for exposing the misogynists masquerading as feminists. I look forward to watching you grow into a political powerhouse that will shatter that glass ceiling and bring a real feminist to the White House.

I've had remarkable blogging opportunities in 2008 that seemed almost unattainable for a chick blogger from Philly. CPAC, PLC and the RNC Convention in St. Paul offered me the chance to meet and befriend some truly talented bloggers while I gained in depth knowledge of the political landscape. Even more remarkable is the fact that I managed to cover all these events without tax payer support, unlike the mayor of my city. I am still pleased to be selected as a member of the Flopping Aces Posse and a contributor to Right Wing News.
I am thankful to all my blogging/media buddies, old and new. You are a constant source of inspiration and knowledge for me. Same goes to the fabulous commentators on this blog!
The more I reflect on this, the more grateful I am for living in America and taking full advantage of the opportunities that have come my way this year.
Today we, as Americans, celebrate 232 years of growth as a nation. Together we have celebrated the sweetness of hard won victory, weathered a bloody civil war, reaped the benefits of innovative leaps in technology and through public debate changed perceptions of cultural norms. All of our victories and all of our losses have been shared by Americans through the years, we are all part of the story of this nation. Unlike Michelle Obama, I am proud to be part of the unfolding story of this nation. Here is to another 232 years of growth.
My first act to celebrate the 4th of July was to purchase ice cream from the Twistee Treat ice cream and water ice store in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. The store is hard to miss as you can see in my cell phone photo above. The ice cream has never tasted sweeter than today. In addition to indulging in my chocolate ice cream addiction, I made a donation to the Injured Marine Semper Fi fund.
After indulging in the Dulce ice cream, I motored to Glenside to join my fellow Sheepdogs in the Independence Day Celebration & 105th Annual July 4th Parade. This is one of the largest, oldest and best-known parades in this region of the nation. The Chester County Victory Movement was honored to participate in this historic and patriotic parade in celebration of America. More photos from the parade can be found HERE
A Heros Welcome is always a welcome addition to our Sheepdog road trips. One of our members participated in the parade on two wheels - two very nice wheels! Warriors Watch had the honor to lead this year's parade, and their phenomenal photographer, Shooter, captured the day in photos. The biggest thrill of all was to have the opportunity to spend some quality time with The Man - Wayne Lutz.
The Sheepdogs encountered cheers, clapping and shouts of encouragement from the crowd lining the sidewalk along the parade route. We were stunned by the outpouring of support from the parade attendees. The cheers continued from the begining to the end of the parade route - we felt like rock stars during the parade!
Along the route, we witnessed a father instructing his small children to stand up when our flags passed by. An elderly veteran slowly raised himself upright when he saw our flags passing by him. A couple of Sheepdogs took time to walk over to thank him for his service.
We had a wonderful time participating in this historic parade and look forward to next July 4th!
